Classes in graduate schools are completely different from those in undergraduate courses or high schools.
It is the students who learn, and the teachers are only facilitators to maximize and optimize their learning.
Students usually need three or four times more hours on their own in preparation for the class.
I therefore set tasks for groups of students or individually so that each learning is secure.

【Messages to the students】
I would like to see clinical research from KUSH and from Japan leading the world.
I regret that I have to retire before I could take you to the doorsteps of the world’s top group.

Students will gain a comprehensive understanding of infectious diseases through lectures by teachers, presentations by students and group discussions. In particular, we will deepen our understanding of the interactions between the environment, humans and pathogens. Social transformation and historical impact of infectious diseases will also be studied from a socio-ecological perspective.
